"Image - Rip To Shreds" Animated Effect. |
"Image - Rip To Shreds" Animated Effect allows to design your own animation from two images.
Simple rips picture to shreds, either vertically or horizontally, then, smoothly moving shreds, replaces
original picture with background.
You will see a very dynamic-animated image rollover: the original picture shreds has being scrolled out
while at the same time the new picture shreds scrolled in.
This effect, like many other, can be combined with any other, especially with effects like
"Fade In/Out".
You can create "Slide Show", which swaps pictures by different way.
Working with animation effects, please be advised that an animation consists of many pictures, called frames.
So the size of animated image dramatically larger than size of the original file.
Shreds can be scrolled in two directions:
| Horizontal | Vertical |
 |
 |
Effect has several parameters.
Below are parameter details
|
1. Delay.
| |
| Time interval (in milliseconds) before running next repetition. |
| |
|
2. Loop Count.
| |
| Specifies number of repetitions of the full circle of the animation |
| |
|
3. Second Image.
| |
| Specifies the background image, which shreds are scrolled in, while
at the same time the original picture shreds are scrolled out by slices. |
| |
|
4. Repeating sequence.
| |
You can create two types of animation by manipulating with different repeating sequence.
- 1. With transition effect - Continuously swaps images one by another. Use if your clip consists of two images and you are not going to attach any other images to it.
- 2. Without transition effect - Splits by shreds and scrolls out the original picture only. Use if you need to attach some other animation to it.

| Slide Show |
Animation, without transition effect can be very usefull if you need to create "Slide Show". Below is an example: There are 4 images for the slide show: |
| 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 |
 |
 |
 |
 |
Create 4 animations without transition effect. Numbers indicate which images were used for animations.
Add them to the list with button "Add To The List" after animation is created. |
| 1-2 | 2-3 | 3-4 | 4-5 |
|---|
 |
 |
 |
 |
| Go to the Animated Palette; remove all source images (1,2,3,4), leaving animations; then create a new slide show with the "Create Animation" button. |
| 1-2-3-4-1 |
 |
It is good idea to use combination of similar effects. Below is an example, in which steps 2-3 and 4-1 was made with "Image Fade In/Out" effect. |

|
5. Minimum number of shreds.
| |
| The effect will split original image to at least this number of shreads.
If image appears to be too big, this number will be automatically increased to control reasonable size of animation. A smaller number of slices, a bigger size of animation and,
of course, a longer time you wait for the result. |
| |
|
6. Fancy effect?
| |
This check box allows to add some charm to the animation. Please remember, fancy animation is always has more frames, hence bigger size of file.
Example of a fancy animation:
